Using the fireplace
Turning ON and Off
TURNING ON
1. The fireplace is fully operational via a remote control. There is nothing to open or touch on the actual fireplace itself. This is a self-venting fireplace.
2. The display will remain illuminated if you tap on the display and you can make the desired selection.
3. Power Tab: Select turn Flame ON.
NOTE: Wait 2 minutes for the fireplace to be fully functional. In this setting, you can set your desired flame height level to affect the ambiance and control the heat output. The higher the flame, the higher the heat output.
You can also select if you want the Fan ON. Selecting the Fan ON will allow the fireplace to push the warm air into the room and provide heat. A delay timer will only turn on the fan 3 minutes after selection.
Selecting the Fan OFF only uses the fireplace for ambiance and not heat. If the flame is turned OFF and the fan was used the fan will run for approximately 12 minutes to cool the system down.
4. Thermostat Tab: You can set and maintain your desired room temperature with the thermostat function. The temperature selected will be displayed in the right hand corner of the remote control.
5. Additional instructions can be found in the continuing pages. For any additional and/or immediate questions, please text or call Liana directly at 708-404-6343
Power Tab: Select turn Flame OFF when finished using the fireplace. If the flame is turned OFF and the fan was used the fan will run for approximately 12 minutes to cool the system down.
Other Household Information
Trash
Trash should be taken out to the dumpster, which is located next the parking area. Recycling bins are also available. Please make sure to remove trash from the house before you check-out.
Dishwasher
Please use dishwasher tablets only, no liquid detergent. To run, first add a dishwasher tablet inside the washer, choose your wash settings on the top of the dishwasher door, hit start, and then close the dishwasher. Once the door is shut, the wash cycle will start.
Washer/Dryer
Please clean off the lint tray in the dryer after each load of laundry. We recommend using timed drying as it dries better than the other settings. Occasionally a load of linens may be finishing in the dryer. If you need to use the dryer during your stay and find linens in there, please put them in the provided linen bags and set them aside for our housekeeper.
For using the washer, place detergent packets directly in the drum first before adding linens/clothes. Do not put detergent packets in the soap tray.
Pantry Items
Please remove all perishables and food items. We do typically leave oils, spices, baking items, etc. for future guests.
Hot Water Heater
Our hot water is sourced from a tank, so therefore it is not limitless at a given time. It’s average run time is about 20-30 minutes of hot water. After the tank has been emptied it requires about 20-30 minutes to reheat another full tank of hot water.
Toilets
PLEASE only flush toilet paper. Our pipes are not able to handle feminine products, paper towels, Kleenex, floss, etc. These are the items removed from the pipes when we’ve had a backup. If a back up is caused by any of the items that should not be flushed - mentioned above - you WILL BE responsible for the plumbing charge.
Pool Access
Please follow all stated pools rules. A Pool Key is needed to access the pool. The key card will only be able to open the gate of the pool during pool hours of 9am - 8pm.
